TONO administers performing and mechanical rights on musical works in Norway on behalf of composers, authors and publishers. When entering into a contract with TONO , your economical rights regarding performance and recordings of your works will be managed by our administration. This means that we will collect fees on your behalf from the music users and distribute compensation to you for the works that have been used.
To become a member of TONO as a composer or an author, you have to meet one of the following criterias:
You must be the writer or co-writer of an original musical work or an authorized arrangement that has been:
a) performed publicly in concert(where TONO licensing is required), or
b) performed in a TV/Radio setting, or
c) commercially recorded and distributed to the general public(Cd, audio visual productions, etc.)
Note!
The applicant must be an EEC citizen.
The following forms must be filled out in order to apply for membership. Documentation of the respective works must be enclosed
in the application (score, CD, MD, etc.).
