The following conditions apply to music publishers:
- The publishing company must have an agreement with at least one person who is the creator of a musical work that has been published. A copy of the publishing contract for this work must be enclosed with the application.
- A copy of the company’s certificate of registration with the Brønnøysund Register Centre, as well as a published copy of the work, must also be enclosed. The latter does not apply if the applicant is a sub-publisher.
- If the applicant is a sub-publisher, it is sufficient to have had the above rights transferred from the original publisher.
- The publishing contract must comply with the TONO Distribution Plan. Particular reference is made to §14.
